DJ Zach Pleasant - Wintery Mix: Snowmaggedon 2010

Posted in Mixes, Soul to Know on February 10th, 2010 by Supa Qool

This weather has gotten to the point it is depressing. News organizations are saying that a historical 50+ inches of snow fell this past weekend!

I’m suppose to be headed to Europe for my first international tour with my friends Diamond District and Trek Life but Dulles Airport is close for the next 24 hours. Wamp Wamp… So, I’m going to post a couple of mixes to pass the time til takeoff.

Here’s a great mix from my bredren Zach…

Posted in Artists to Know, Mixes on February 1st, 2010 by Supa Qool

This man should need no introduction…

If you have been under a rock for the past few months, hailing from New Orleans, Jay Electronica has quickly become the champion emcee of the “Real” Hip-Hop movement.   With the help of hit-maker Just Blaze, Jay is readying his album for an upcoming release.

My peoples DJ Dub and Furious Styles compiled a great collection of Jay’s music that will introduce newbies to his work thus far.

Event (DC): Recess Soft Opening with Supa Qool DJ Uncle Q | Thursday 12.03.09

Posted in Events, Supa Qoolness on December 2nd, 2009 by Supa Qool

Come join me this Thursday night to celebrate of the soft opening of DC’s highly-anticipated newest lounge, Recess

Here’s the description from their site:

Recess is the brainchild of long time friends, Fisayo Esconsay and Brandon Howard. As college roommates, the pair created a name for themselves producing and promoting parties in D.C. With the help of design duo, Brian Miller (lead designer on D.C. hot spot The Gibson) and Lauren Winter, Recess promises to break the mould and provide an alternative to the bars and nightclubs currently in the area. Given their strong connections to the entertainment community, Recess will be a sanctuary for high profile out-of-towners, D.C. tastemakers and celebrities.

Recess DC
Soft Opening
w/ Supa Qool DJ Uncle Q
727 15th Street NW DC
No Cover
Doors at 10pm
