One of the best to have rocked the silver platters.

DJ AM (Adam Goldstein) was found dead in his New York City apartment yesterday.  Reports are speculative, but no cause of death has been confirmed.  His death has sent ripples throughout the DJ community, as many took to Twitter to share condolences and memories.  Fellow DJs A-Trak, D-Nice, Houseshoes and Rich Medina were among the hundreds of peers and fans to eulogize AM through the social networking site.

Arguably the biggest “celebrity DJ” stateswide, AM cut his teeth rocking megaclubs and private events in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and New York City.  He was one of the chief contributors to the “mash-up” style of DJing, incorporating special DJ re-edits and Rock/Rap remixes, quick mixes and turntablist type scratches.  He will be sorely missed…
