Last week, Heineken hosted their Red Star Soul concert series in Washington DC.  Originally I had planned to attend as a patron, mainly because I wanted to meet DJ Clark Kent.  To my pleasant surprise, on the day of the event, I was asked to warm up the crowd with some tunes before he got on…

As I was setting up, a gentleman walked up to me and introduced himself.  He said his name was DJ Jaycee!!!

What?…

Why are here?…

I can’t believe this!…

Yep, it really was him.  Turns out he was in town to DJ for Luda’s performance set.  The coincidence of it all was that I had just received my new Pioneer EFX 500 Effects Machine through ebay a few hours earlier… a machine I bought solely to mimic some of the delay transitions I heard on Sample Clearance Pt 1.

As luck would have it, yesterday Jaycee dropped the much anticpated follow up to that classic mix on his daily radio show on Atlanta’s V103, The Afternoon Delight with Jaycee.  He had this to say about it:
